Hi, my name is
Rick
I'm a Portrait and Lifestyle Family Photographer
I know it is easy to have the most important moments of our lives become lost in the digital world. We capture all of these images and often leave them on our phones, bury them on a hard drive, and perhaps sometimes we share a few online for brief moments of internet visibility. I believe memories are the artwork of our lives and I believe that the artwork of life belongs in print.
I fell in love with photography in high school watching images magically appear in treys of chemicals. My passion for photography remained a steady undercurrent as I pursued a career working with people as a clinical psychologist. As I evolved as a psychologist, my observational skills evolved to see uniqueness and subtleties within my clients and within the connections between couples and families. I also learned that for a client to let down their guard, feeling comfortable working with me was non-negotiable. Merging my passion for photography with my passion working with people was a natural progression. Technology has changed, but attention to detail and relaxed collaboration is a formula for creating authentic images that reflect not just what people look like, but who they are and what their connections to others are like.
